Paizo's Open RPG Creative License (ORC)

My first devlog indicated that I intended to make an OGL for this game. Other games do it. It's fairly common for companies and creators that believe strongly in open gaming. Many, many games have an open license. But open licenses are not easy to create. Usually, lawyers write these things. And if you are not a lawyer (aka, me), it takes tremendous research and understanding of legal contract principles. Fortunately, with the missteps of Wizards of the Coast over the past week, an ideal alternative has become available. Paizo has officially announced the creation of a system-agnostic game license called the Open RPG Creative License (ORC). This license will apply to any RPG game system and will not be owned by a for-profit organization that makes its money from gaming. For the time being, the license will be kept in the custody of the Azora Law Group. Once it can be done, a non-profit organization will be formed specifically to be the custodian of this license.

As such, to assure that you can join the world of Star Fall if it interests you, this game will use the ORC license once it is released. Until it is released, I do not know how ORC will work, but we can assume it will reference a library of content that may be freely drawn from when using the ORC license. While this game will use no such content, the reason for including it is so that you may use Star Fall's content in your own creation.
