Broken Heart follows Erika Conrad, the main character of my play-testing campaigns and short stories set in Star Fall, a descendant of the astronaut that first discovered the Quantum Gates. The game is a brief moment in the character's life as a salvager working in the Star Fall star cluster, as she serves on the Ceres Belle, an old Dreadnought star carrier. A former Navy fighter pilot, Erika scouts ahead on salvage missions to assess the safety of any job and to fend off potential attackers.

There are five playable races in Star Fall. Human, Serrell, Tal'Q, Glimmok, and Hybrids.

Erika is human.

Fanny (full name: Faen'luvqs) is a Serrell. A Serrell's average height is a foot taller than the average human, and they have very limited telepathy. Serrell are closely genetically similar to humans and are suspected to be a cousin race.

Raza is Tal'Q (pronounce "tawl-eek"). The Tal'Q are genetically engineered humanoid felines. The race that created them went extinct hundreds of years ago.

The engineer is a Glimmok. His sprite couldn't properly represent his race, but the Glimmok have four arms and no apparent eyes. Nomadic, Glimmoks are extremely dexterous and often prefer to work with machines.

Hybrids are the result of unions between Serrell and humans. No hybrids appear in this game.

These are the known intelligent races that humans are on good terms with. There is one highly aggressive race that consistently attacks settlers to Star Fall, but almost nothing is known about the Wah'ri.

Star Fall is based on classic space flight simulators, Wing Commander: Privateer, Freelance, Space Rogue, and others. In the full TTRPG there are full rules for spaceflight that covers armor, ship components, including engines, weapons, shields, etc., movement speed, inertia, and gravity wells, trading commodities, and space colonization.

This game was made as a glimpse into the TTRPG, a videogame representation of my intent. I hope you enjoy it!

WARNING: There are two known glitches. On occasion, the window will crash. Also, on occasion, a movement key will get stuck in that direction, usually for around a minute. These are rare occurrences with no apparent cause. These glitches are unlikely to trigger again after a reload. Save often.
